Meet our people while installing the Q325 at Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, Sun City.

The crew installing the sound system for the new antiphonal division. Check out the guys that are hosting 85 pound speakers and man-handling them into their new speaking position. There are 6 full-range Allen HR-200 cabinets in the antiphonal division.

A portion of the new audio system that is installed above the choir loft. This section of the organ contains 20 speaker cabinets and a mechanical Zimbelstern. There are 2 sub-woofers, 6 full-range cabinets with 15” woofers, 6 full range speakers with 12” woofers, and 6 monitors that speak toward the choir members. (All of the 20 year old wiring from the former installation was removed and replaced with new state-of-the-art wiring. This was a major task in this installation.)

James Gerber begins the voicing process of the American Suite of voices. This instrument also contains an: English, Cavaillé-Coll, Arp Schnitger, Schlicker and an Orchestral suite. Each sound in each of the suites will be voiced note-by-note.

Shepherd of the Desert Lutheran Church, 11025 N 111th Ave., Sun City, AZ A unique feature at this installation is that the church’s Yamaha Clavinova digital piano has been connected to the Allen via MIDI. In addition to the 256 voices on the Allen Vista module, the organist can play any of the Clavinova voices from the Allen console.
